A plush hippo escapes the reality and monotony of his life by leaning into his artistic talents with the help of his magic sketchpad and goes further than just his imagination. He dreams of being a superhero of sorts, but over the course of the story, he learns that the smallest acts of kindness and choosing empathy have a greater impact on those around him, more-so than ‘saving the day.’

SYNOPSIS
In the pilot episode, Little Guy is awaken by a notification on his phone and remembers why today is especially important to him. It’s his birthday, the day his mother had given him his priceless sketchpad long ago, although no one else seems to notice, including his human ‘brother’ that he lives with. A boring day as a Computer Systems Analyst is further perpetuated by his co-worker Sal’s constant obnoxious behavior. This leads to Little Guy sketching secretly in his skechpad while dreaming of being somewhere else; anywhere other than the small, shared cubicle. The sketches come alive and, over the course of the day, we are transported into the ‘hand drawn’ world of his sketchpad to a jungle, a cavernous inferno, and a turbulent sea.
However, back in reality, a new interest has piqued his attention, the office delivery girl. How will he impress her and what can he do to put himself on her radar? Upon leaving for the day, Little Guy, defeated from his lackluster reality, roams the park and reminisces about the emotional ties he has with today. After being summoned by his brother to run an errand on his way home, he comes across a bullied boy and an anxious neighbor that both could use his help. What will he do? A waiting surprise at home could turn this forgotten day into one to remember.
